Create for the Environment is an art initiative by Parisar to connect with artists all over Maharashtra in order to highlight the role of bus-based public transport in protecting the environment. Art has the power to establish a deeper connection with people, and a deeper understanding of an issue. It is part of a statewide campaign, Lakh ko 50 (50 buses per lakh urban population)—which demands improved bus services in all the cities of Maharashtra.
Through your art, you can also build the will to effect change, and inspire people and change makers to understand the role of bus-based public transport for safer ecosystems.

Topic
Parisar will feature all the original works of art which are clearly and creatively centred on any or all of the following:
1. My City Buses, My Environment, My Earth
2. Our cities need more buses and better services for a better environment
3. Cities in Maharashtra need 50 buses per lakh population i.e. Lakh ko 50 buses
4. City buses are more environmentally friendly than personal motorized vehicles (like two-wheelers and cars)
5. Buses in my city help in cutting air pollution and mitigating climate change
6. Buses are important for maintaining the green cover in the city
7. Buses and biodiversity
8. The infrastructure required for buses is less damaging to the city environment than the infrastructure required for accommodating personal motorized transport.

Participation
To sign up or participate in the ‘Create for the Environment’ contest, fill this form. We will not be able to consider your participation until we receive this form duly filled by you. We will be able to accept only one submission from each participant. Avoid submitting multiple files.
Avoid copying or reproducing someone else’s original work; such submissions will be disqualified.
Categories
You can contribute your work on the topics mentioned in the previous section in either of the following ways:
Artwork
1. Drawing or painting or doodle or sketch
2. Take a picture of your artwork and submit it using the form attached above
3. The picture must be clear and of high resolution. For portrait images, minimum 1600 px width. For landscape images, minimum 1600 px length.
Photographs
1. Portrait or landscape photographs
2. Submit it using the form attached above

Videos
1. Short films on the topics listed above
2. If you have a written submission, say a poem, a song, a jingle, a vignette or a message, you can recite that in a video and submit that as well. Languages can be: Marathi/ Hindi/ English.
3. The videos will be featured as Instagram reels, and further shared on Parisar’s Facebook and Twitter platforms. 4. 4. Maximum video duration: 1 minute. If your video is more than 1 minute long, kindly upload it online (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook Watch) on your own, share the link with us, and we will reshare it on Parisar’s platforms.
5. Video quality: at least 720p (Half HD), preferred 1080p (Full HD)
Mentions and Winners
Parisar will feature each and every submission which creatively and clearly highlight the topic of environment and bus-based public transport either on its social media platforms or on the website.
Of all the submissions, we will select the best 3 across all the three categories and share it with the Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Sh. Aaditya Thackeray during a webinar or a meeting.
The best entry in each category shall also be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5,000.
